- Small paper plates (one per child)
- Paper bags (5+)
- Play dough (6 canisters)
- Round and square plastic 3-inch cookie cutters or containers
- Baking pan (sturdy plastic or metal)
- 4 stuffed animals or dolls
- Different types of plastic food or entertainment items (5 or more of each type), e.g., plastic toys, puzzles, balls, markers and pads, stickers
- Same-sized blocks (12+)
- Game markers (4, all different colors), e.g., blocks, bottle caps, or other tokens that are slightly larger than an inch
- Die
- Small collections of food items (e.g. crackers, raisins; enough for the class)
- Food items that can be easily cut into equal shares (e.g. a block of cheese, an apples, an orange; enough for the class)
- Knife (for adult to cut whole food items)
- Optional, to replace Ice Cube Cards: small blocks or other tokens on hand
- Optional, to make a die: small, cube-shaped block and marker
- Optional: Whiteboard or flip chart
- Optional, in place of toy food and entertainment items: Images of food or entertainment items cut from magazines
